We girls love personalization. Every style, every color, every frill, every pair of shoe and our changing hair style has to most definitely be an extension of our personality. We pay attention to the tiniest of detail and make it our own and Nail Art is the latest in thing for it.

If You Love Nail Art, you must’ve come across Kanika and her creative palace blog.

In case you haven’t, we give you a glimpse of it today. Let’s get to know Kanika.

  • Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog?
Well, you know my name, which is, Kanika Sharma. I’m a pure Delhi girl and a true Gemini. I’m a huge SRK fan and it is my dream to meet him once in my life time. And as far as my blog is concerned, the name goes like this ‘HerCreativePalace’. I have always dreamt of a good life and love experimenting with creativity. Creativity is the only thing which makes me different from others and I had to include this word anywhere in my blog. So, here I am with my palace of creativity. On my blog, I discuss almost everything; be it travelling, food, makeup, reviews, Bollywood, and the list is endless. I will suggest you to visit my blog for all the creative stuff to catch up. *wink*
  • Describe how did you first get involved into blogging? What inspired you to start your blog?
When I started writing blogs, it was merely an activity for me. I never thought that this world will bring me so far and much success. I am really thankful to all the people who take out time and read my blog. It means a lot to me! And for the inspiration, I’d again say creativity. I started with nail arts and now I think I have learnt a lot of stuff in this field. Want to explore more each day now!
  • Which genre and niche do you write on? What do you love most about blogging?
As mentioned before, I write almost on everything. But to be precise, I write on nail art, makeup, product reviews, travel, lifestyle, food, Bollywood, etc. As I started my passion for blogging long back when I started exploring with nail art thingy, I’d say that I love to blog about nail art the most.
  • What is your blogging style and philosophy?
“Keep it simple”, this phrase is taken from SRK’s movie Happy New Year. Now you will surely agree that I’m his biggest fan, right? Hahahahah! But to be frank, this is my only ‘mantra’. I never use difficult words in my posts, because at the end I don’t want to confuse my readers. I want to connect with them, and this is how I do it.
  • Who according to you should take up blogging as a full time career?
I think a person who is well read about one genre can start writing and be a full time blogger. If you ask me personally, I’d obviously say either SRK or Amitabh Bachchan Sir. Both love reading and are have knowledge about each and every thing. Also, every human being has an X factor in them. So, in short, each and every human can be a full time blogger for sure.
  • As a blogger, what aspects do you expect newbie bloggers to work upon?
Firstly, if new bloggers want to start blogging only because of money, then darling this is not a space for you. Blogging is all about passion and sharing your experiences with the world. It demands a lot of hard work! I’d suggest newbies to be unique and be you, never ever try to copy any famous blogger.
  • With more and more bloggers joining taking up blogging as a career, do you think blogging will become yet another rat race?
Every blogger has their own unique style of writing. There is not only one type of blog. There are millions of genres on which people as bloggers are writing. It is really a nice world and I hope it never becomes another rat race.
  • Can you name some of your favorite bloggers and explain why they are your favorites?
My favorite blogger is Kanika Sharma from www.hercreativepalace.com *NO COMMENTS*
  • What do you find the most frustrating aspect of blogging?
Brands approach you as guest writers!! I mean, if you really want to work with me or any other blogger, reach us as professionals. It is not about money always, because even we want to work with amazing brands out there.
  • Is blogging your profession or just a hobby?
Though I’m a working girl but still I prefer saying my blog is 100% professional affair. It started off as a hobby, but now I introduce myself as a professional blogger. I love this tag!! *ting*
  • What do you do when you aren’t working on your blog?
I hope this day never comes when I’m not working on my blog. Every single day I’m working on my blog. But when I’m not a blogger, I spend my time with family or it’s another office day, duh.
  • How frequently do you update your blog and are you satisfied with it?
I update my blog on alternate days and yes I’m very much satisfied with it. More than satisfied, I feel happy to be surrounded with amazing readers and bloggers.
  • What was the most challenging moment in your blogging journey so far?
Nobody helped me!! You obviously need a good guidance when you are starting with something new. But for me, there was not even a single angel. I managed everything on my own and I’m glad that nobody helped me, at least I learnt a lot. By doing this, now I’m able to help other new bloggers.
  • What is the biggest difference in your life post-blogging?
The best thing which happened to me is that now many brands recognize me. I attend events and get amazing opportunities to meet the B-town stars. This life is truly amazing and I totally love it.
  • Did you have any professional help or did you created the blog yourself?
Each and everything on my blog is being done by me. But yes, my friends helped me with the banner, domain name and other technical parts.
  • What’s your blog promotion strategy? How do you ensure you keep acquired new readers and how do you retain your existing readerbase?
My strategy is very simple! Keep yourself engaged with all your lovely readers and followers. That’s why it is necessary to make your social networks’ profile. I have made this habit to post one thing or the other regularly on my social networks. And the love I get from so many people is endless. I can’t even explain how happy I feel!
  • What message would you like to give to the bloggers of the world?
You are already very beautiful and you know that! Just keep up the good work and make your readers feel special. I have not met the entire world’s bloggers but I’m in love with them. Cheers!!!
  •  What would you say that is the greatest satisfaction of being a blogger?
You don’t have to copy anyone. You are your own boss and moreover, you need to showcase your true side in front of the world. It is one of the greatest satisfaction of being a blogger, because at the end it is all about you.
  • Anything else that you’d like to share with our readers?
