Google has sent an email to all its Adsense publishers informing them that it is going to completely discontinue the old payments platform from Google AdSense reporting. This means, you will not be able to view any of your historical payment data from Google AdSense dashboard after the sunset date (June 30, 2015).
The first thing I did is run a Google search with the email subject to determine that it was not a phishing method or a fake mail and realized it is a real email.
Now, I know many people, and that includes me, we love checking our early earnings from the time of starting this business. I suggest you may want to save your payment history details before Google Adsense takes it down post 30th June.
Another reason is that since you might need them for income tax purposes in future, you might as well save the payment history for your records
The email from Google came in with subject line : Sunset of old payment transaction history in your AdSense account.
It reads :

Here’s how to download your previous payments data:
- Sign in to your AdSense account.
- Click the gear icon
and select Payments.
- Scroll down to the “Previous payments” section at the bottom of the page.
- Click See your previous payments.Note that if you don’t see this button, then you don’t have any previous payments data on our old payments system to download.
- In the “Finalized earnings and payments” section, click Export to CSV.
- If a download prompt appears, follow the instructions in the dialog, and click Save. Otherwise your data is automatically downloaded as a CSV file.
In simple words, Go to your AdSense payment history, export it to .CSV format and then use Excel to export it to other formats.
Alternatively, you can use Google Chrome browser and use the PRINT option to save it into .PDF format.
What would have been really good is if we were to save all the details like Payment Type , Payment Date, Payment Number, Tracking Number, cheque clearance date etc. However I haven’t seen any such provisions as yet. I wish Google is listening and will provide some ways to save those details as well.
If you are facing any problems with the export or have any questions, feel free to comment and ask.
