Have you ever stayed up in bed, heard your stomach rumble, and looked at the kitchen in dismay? The last thing you’d want to do at 2 in the morning is slave at the stove to make yourself some food. Here are some easy to make, zero cooking midnight snacks that will satisfy all your cravings.

1.Bhelpuri

An all-time favorite among Indians, this is a light, delicious snack that can be prepared easily and quickly. Primarily a street food, this chatpata mixture is something we all swear by.

Ingredients- Puffed Rice, Bhujia (different variants), Peanuts, Chopped Up Onions & Tomatoes (optional), Spices, Tomato Ketchup, Tamarind Sauce, etc.

How- Chop up some onions and tomatoes, gather all your ingredients and mix them well in any ratio you want. Add a pinch of salt and pepper, and you’re good to go!

2.Crunchy Sandwich

This is fulfilling, and a tasty snack at the same time. Add a tiny twist to your conventional sandwich and you can have a quick bite, while studying up for your finals.

Ingredients- Bread, Mayo, Tandoori spread, Tomato ketchup, Cheese Spread, Chips

How- Take two pieces of bread and pop them in the toaster. Take all your favorite spreads, and slather them on your bread. Now the crunch- just before you are to dig in, add a layer of some chips (add them at the end, because they’ll get soggy otherwise). The very first bite will deliver the crunch you crave.

3.Bread Pizza

This is a favorite among the kids. The cheap way to enjoy a pizza- while not having a pizza.

Ingredients- Bread, pizza sauce, tomato ketchup, chopped up tomatoes, onions, capsicum. Chilly flakes, oregano,

How- Chop up some onions, tomatoes, and capsicum and put it in a bowl. Add to the bowl some tomato sauce, and mix well- with a pinch of salt and pepper. Take your bread, heat it on a lightly oiled pan, and spread some pizza sauce on it. Put the mixture on the bread, and you’re done. The cheese is optional depending upon whether you have the kind of time and energy required for grating the cheese and making it melt.

4.Chocolate Brownie

There’s nothing like chocolate to tide over hunger. Midnight chocolate cravings aren’t a stretch, and this is just the right way to satisfy them.

Ingredients- Store Bought Brownie, Chocolate/Chocolate Sauce, Nuts, Vanilla Ice-cream.

How- Take your store-bought brownie (which will almost always be dry) and heat it. Melt your chocolates, until they liquify. Add almonds, cashews, and walnuts to the melt and drizzle it over the brownie. Pair it up with some ice cream, and enjoy!

5.Ice Cream Shake

You already where this is going, don’t you? This particular concoction just takes a minute to prepare and is perfect to have the best of both worlds.

Ingredients- Coca Cola/Pepsi (whatever floats your boat), Vanilla ice cream

How- Just add some scoops of ice cream to tall glass. Pour some coke over it, according to your preference. Grab a spoon, and dig in!
